Stuttgart, Germany – The following statement was issued today by Global Standard, the non-profit that owns and operates the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS):
“We are excited to announce the launch of the public consultation process for the first revision draft of GOTS Version 8.0 and its Implementation Manual.
The consultation will remain open for 60 days, and we warmly invite inputs from all stakeholders. Your valuable suggestions and comments can be submitted via the following link: https://forms.office.com/e/3Y3bv80jVu.
The first revision drafts for GOTS v 8.0 and Implementation Manual may be perused freely and are placed on our webpage : https://global-standard.org/the-standard/gots-revision.
All submissions will be reviewed and discussed by the GOTS Standard Revision Committee. Summarised inputs and outcomes of the discussions will be published on the GOTS revision webpage for transparency and further engagement.
Deadline for submissions: 7 March 2025.
